Here is an Unusually Large “Grenade” Style Military Mess Cigar Lighter Made in Fully Hallmarked Sterling Silver by the Famous London Silversmiths, Mappin and Webb in 1894

This Cigar Table Lighter was awarded at the Royal Military Tournament and is inscribed “R.M.T. 1894 Riding & Jumping Officers 4th Prize won by Lieut. C.K. Elworthy 6th D.G.” (Dragoon Guards)

These Table Cigar Lighters were originally Used in British Regimental Military Messes, in a Form Imitating the Grenades of the Time of the Battle of Waterloo

This Distinctive Cigar Lighter is made of Hallmarked Sterling Silver and is approximately 3 Inches in Diameter (7.5 cms), 4 Inches Tall (12 cms) and weighs 11.1 Ounces (313 grams) overall

Overall, the Lighter is in Excellent Condition with one dent near the top
