This is a Stunningly Detailed, and Quite Rare, Very Large, Silver Swiss Shooting Medal that was struck in extremely High Relief. It comes from Geneva, Switzerland. I believe it was produced for inauguration of the Saint-George Shooting Match on October 5, 1895.

It is signed by the Artists François Beauverd and Hugues Bovy.

The incredibly detailed die work can be seen here, the tiny windows in the buildings and the squinted eye of the marksman. Fantastic die work.

The Medal: A stunningly beautiful piece. It has seen light handling over the years and has a few small marks but I believe it to be fully original, a very nice specimen. Being silver, and this old, and with a minuscule mintage of just 210 pieces to begin with, I don't imagine there are many of these still around. As grading is subjective please see the pictures and judge for yourself.
