- An antique enamel on metal beaker standing 3.8 in ( 95 mm) high with a diameter of 3.5 in ( 90mm) which was made to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee ( 60 years of Reign ) of Queen Victoria in 1897. It comes with two cotton handkerchiefs which were also made for the occasion : The smaller one measures 14 in ( 356 mm) x 13 in ( 330 mm) and has a printed pictorial with two images of the Queen in 1837 and 1897. It has National emblems i.e. shamrock ( Ireland) rose ( England) and thistle ( Scotland) but does not appear to be anything to represent Wales. The largest measures 15 in ( 380 mm) x 14.75 in ( 375 mm) and has silk embroidery to one corner with emblems for each of the countries of the United Kingdom, including two crossed leeks. The enamel beaker has scrapes to the enamel around the rim with wear to the gilding and the larger handkerchief has some light staining or foxing, otherwise all in good collectable condition and display well.
