Handsome antique picture frame, circa 1890s, gilt-painted steel with cross corners and applied ornate brass spandrels, folding wire stand, the aperture approx. 3-3/4\" x 3-3/4\", accommodating a photo up to 4\" X 4\", the overall size approx. 5-3/8\" x 5-3/8\", the back marked \"Pat. Sep. 14, 97,\" with glass. Soiling and wear to finish commensurate with age, otherwise fine, attractive condition.
