This medal was issued by the American Numismatic and Archeological Society on April 27, 1897to commemorate the dedication of the Grant Monument.
The front of the medal has a likeness of General Ulysses S. Grant.The reverse side has a likeness of the Grant Monument.
The medal is in excellent shape...no apparent damage.It is in the original box w/inscription from Tiffany & Co New York, Paris, London....box is intact just shows wear on the edges.
The medal weighs 4.6 oz and measures 2 1/2 inches in diameter.
