18th CENTURY MEISSEN PORCELAIN JUG circa 1770

Up for sale is a fine quality antique Meissen porcelain jug dating from around 1770. It is finely hand painted with a scene of three gentlemen drinking beneath a tree. To the underside there is a Meissen Dot period mark (see photo). There is a fine hairline to the top rim (approximately 16 mm in length); a small chip to the base of the handle; a chip to the spout which has been glued back in with two flea bites; some minor flea bites to the foot rim and a firing crack just above the foot rim (see photos). Despite the afore-mentioned the jug still displays well. It measures approximately 13 cm (5 1/8 inches) in height.
