attic41 Store This is a beautiful hand made antique yellow gold filigree ring in Size 9.5. The workmanship is very delicate and precise. The ring has a central round \"O ring\" medallion flanked by two \"teardrops\". The entire motif is surrounded by delicate filigree work. The Underside shows hand file marks and other evidence of being handmade.I don\'t know how old the ring is 17th, 18th or 19th century?, but it doesn\'t look anything like rings made today (or the 20th century).The ring has two hallmark stamps on it. One is either \"9N\" or \"N6\" with a symbol in the middle, separating the letter/number. The symbol maybe a soldier? Separately, there is another hallmark, with the second letter being an \"E\". The first letter could be an \"L\" or maybe a \"J\"?It could be 10k or 9k in purity, but it is definitely gold (was carefully acid tested). The ring diameter is between 21 and 22 mm, and the ring weighs approx 1.4 grams.A beautiful and rare gold ring!
