18thC English Silver Double Inkwell Hester Bateman London Circa 1786!

This wonderful double inkwell is made of heavy gauge silver with figural claw feet and reticulated rim. It has cut designs around the two glass wells with silver lids. It has the makers mark for Hester Bateman out of London with the date letter for 1786. It measures approximately 2 + ¾ inches tall overall by 9 + ¾ inches long by 4 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with the exception that one of the glass wells has suffered some cracks and the lid is detached at the hinge, as can be seen in the photos.
