1900 1901 Theodore Roosevelt "the Winner" Button Pin Large 2+ Inch President Old For Sale
Here is a very rare example of an antique pinback button from the 1900 presidential election of Theodore Roosevelt. It is a large button for the era measuring 2 3/16 inches in diameter. A banner stating THE WINNER within a white strip is above Roosevelt's head. I assume this button is from 1901, immediately after his election. A copyright from Harris & Ewing is printed as part of the photo to the left of his image. The reverse still contains the advertising paper backing from W. M. Young Regalia Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. This button is in great condition. The celluloid surface has some minor and normal scuffs for a pin of this age. There are no cracks or separations around the rim. It is structurally even and strong with no dents or bends. There is some light brown areas of foxing around the edge of the image and the only areas that slightly encroach toward the front image are just above the E in THE and just above the R in WINNER. Secure shipping includes tracking. I only ship and sell to buyers in the United States.
