This listing is for circa 1910 Gorham silver plate 4 piece tea and coffee set with matching butler's tray. The set consistsof a tea pot,coffee pot, creamer,covered sugar, and tray. The tall coffee pot measures 9 3/4 inches or 24.8 cm high and is 9 3/4 inches or 24.8 cm wide from handle to spout. The teapot measures 7 1/4" or 18.4 cm high and 10 1/2" or 26.7 cm from handle to spout. The creamer measures 5 3/8" or 13.7 cm high and 6" from handle to spout. The sugar measures 6" or 15.2 cm high and 8" or 20.3 cm from handle to handle. The tray measures 28 inches or 71.1 cm long from handle to handle and is 17 1/8 inches or 43.6 cm wide.
The set is quite beautiful having a heavy embossed shell and gadroon edge. The teapot and coffee pot have insulators in the handles, the lids are hinged and have gadroon edge finials. The tray has shell and gadroon edge with an emobossed foliate design of flowers, scroll work and leaves on a chased background. It sits on four ball feet. All the pieces are marked on the bottom Gorham with the anchor in the cartouche and the pattern number YC1103.
Other than a few minor fine scratches from prior use of this beautiful antique silver plate tea set, it is in remarkable condition. There is little to no wearto the plating. The coffee pot, tea pot and sugar have a ding on one side only. These are small and do not take away from the beauty.
