1900s Distler/Bing German Tin Apple Eating Monkey Mechanical Wind Up Very Rare. A very rare tin lithography toy with an elaborate animated mechanism that allows a monkey to bite and appear to eat an apple. The spring needs to be replaced and it may need a metal bar in the back, so it is not working but amazingly intact. Cannot imagine very many of these odd toys surviving. It may also not have been available in the US, most likely a German only tin toy. Rare but not working tin toy measures 6 inches tall.
