With all forty plates which are facsimiles of original drawings by Foord.

Each plate is accompanied by an instructional portionon the plants, their origins, where theygrow etc.

These drawings are aimed at students, artists and others with an interest in botany.

CONDITION

In the original full cloth binding with gilt stamping to the front board and to the spine. Externally, worn. Cloth is lifting at the extremities and to the backstrip at the front joint. Rubbing to the board edges and to the spine. Spots to boards. Front joint is starting but firm. Front endpapers and half-title page are detached but present.Rear endpaper is detached but present.Internally, binding is loosening in places, otherwise is generally firmly bound. Pages are slightly age toned to edges. Spots to the first and last few pages. Occasional handlingmarks and light spots throughout. Overall: GOOD.
