1904 Keystone "monarch" Hand Held Stereoviewer / Stereoscope For Stereoviews For Sale

Original, 1904, Keystone hand-held "Monarch" Model Stereopticon Viewer / Stereoscope in outstanding, original condition. This very attractive, walnut and impressed and cut aluminum Stereo Viewer measures approx. 12 3/4" overall and features an adjustable card holder and a velvet trimmed, aluminum eye shield. The optics of the Viewer are exceptional and it is both very attractive and very well preserved. The aluminum eye shield has an impressed Trade Mark featuring a bull Elk with text below that reads "Monarch". There is also stamped text on the bottom surface of the vertical arm that reads "Pat's Apr. 12, '04".


This Viewer is exceptionally well made and the arm which holds the mount for the Stereo Card being viewed is adjustable so that the image can be brought into razor sharp focus regardless of the viewer's strength of eyesight.


This rare and exceptionally well made, Keystone Stereoscope is in very good condition. The Viewer in excellent working order but does have some loss to the velvet trim on the viewing hood and lacks one of the two thin wire card holders on the adjustable arm. The finishes on all parts are original and e well preserved and the optics are sharp and eye popping!!
