1904 St. Louis World's Fair Cobalt Blue Ceramic Dish Cascades Carlsbad:
From the collection of the late Charles Rand Penney of Lockport, NY, prominent World's Fair collector:
Cobalt blue painted whiteceramic dish with ruffled ridge sides and gold trim along inside edge and traces of gold around rim. Central image is a labeled mulit-color drawing of Cascade Gardens. The dish is also labeled: St. Louis Exposition 1904. Stamped on reverse: Victoria Carlsbad Austria.
Condition: Good - The gold trim is wearing off in several places. There is an approximately 1" long crack, with a small chip on the top right side. This flaw is almost invisible from the front, but it is visible from the reverse side.
