1904 St. Louis World's Fair Rare 1 3/8" Enamel & Brass "box" Locket For Sale
1904 St. Louis World's Fair Rare 1 3/8" diameter enamel and brass box loxket, hidden compartment. Front has initial L. P. E. in blue, white, yellow and red enamel. Around edge is marked Hall of Festival and Cascades - St. Louis Fair 1904.Under the enameled letters is a picture of Festival Hall & Cascades, the enamel letters attached over the picture. The back has a picture embossed of the Louisiana Purchase Monument and around edge is marked Louisiana Purchase Monument - 1803. When you press on front and slide the locket opens to reveal a hidden "box" for picture or treasure. Box Locket is in very good condition, slight dis-coloration to left of Louisiana Purchase Monument and a pin head sized loss of enamel to yellow. These are not seen frequently.
