Published in 1905 by S. Lehrberger and Company (Druck und Verlag von S. Lehrberger & Comp.) Hardbound in dark brown blindstamped cloth. The words "Gebete der Israeliten" ("Prayers of the Israelites") are embossed at the center of the front cover.The text is mostly in Hebrew, but with a fair amount of the old-style German fraktur typeface sprinkled throughout as well. The final page is a page of music.
In very good condition, this book has survived in remarkable condition. Binding is tight, hinges are not cracked, and no foxing (age spotting). Penciled inscription of the original owner on the inside front cover, dated June 27, 1905 in Berlin (shown in third picture). Otherwise free of marks and writing. Only the right-hand pages are numbered, [viii] + 144 pages. (So actually [xvi] + 288 pages.)
