1905 Schaubeks Postage Stamp Album 1840-1903 Includes 8 British Penny Red Stamps:
Hello ers, you are offerding on a Victoria edition world postage stamp album produced by Schaubeks from around 1905 that includes 8 eight British Penny Red stamps (penny reds). The album was published by C.F. Luecke, Leipzig, printed in Saxony, Germany and was given as a gift on 05 December 1905 (as documented in black fountain pen ink on first page). The individual pages are fragile so handle with care! the album is 115 years old! The text is in four languages: English, Spanish, German, and French. The album covers stamp issues up to 1904, and is presented by country. The naming of countries in that era is very different than today, and there are stamps from countries at the time that no longer exist or have been renamed or joined with other world land regions. There is at least one stamp for most of the countries listed. A good portion of the stamps are from the 1840-1904 time period along with newer postage stamps. The majority are hinged. Many have unique and interesting cancellations. Pictures of every country page containing stamps in the album are posted in this google drive folder (copy and paste address in a new tab in your web titles of the country pages with at least one stamp are:BavariaGermanyBelgiumDenmark - IcelandFranceFrench ColoniesGreat BritainCyprus - Gibraltar - Jonian Island - and Herzegovina - Bulgaria - Eastern Roumelia - Montenegro - Servia (Serbia)PortugalPortuguese ColoniesRussia - Russ.
