1905 The Lewis And Clark Centennial Portland Oregon Stein "rare". For Sale
Rare seldom seen original 113 year old commemorative beer stein or mug made of pottery. This was made for the Portland Oregon Centennial Exposition in 1905. Highly graphic scenes on this mug including a bust of "WM. CLARK" and "MERIWETHER LEWIS" embossed in highly detailed relief. Made of grey slip earthen ware with cobalt colored glaze. Likely made in Germany and is marked 0.5L" for one fifth liter. A beautiful rare old stein from the West Coast.Very good condition considering handle was repaired (see pic) very nice stein to add to your collection.
