The Alabastine decorating company of Grand Rapids, Michigan, was located near a major source of alabastine (gypsum). This interesting catalog contains pictures, prices, and dimensions of about 300 stencils. A wonderful source for information about period decorating. And the stencils can be enlarged and used, too.
Also included are 10 other stencils from a different Alabastine catalog. Additionally, the new edition of our reproduction catalog now includes four new pages with examples of how these stencils might be colored and repeated.
This 68-page reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference for collectors, restorers, and other interested readers. See our store for other fine reproductions of glassware, china, pottery and other collectibles.

We have digitally reproduced and restored our original catalog at an extremely high resolution, and printed the black & white and color pages on heavy archival paper stocks. This is not a photocopy - our methods allow us to retain an unusual image clarity and depth of detail, sometimes limited only by the production values of the original. Some of our fine reproduction catalogs are already in museum research collections.
This reproduction catalog is meant to be a permanent reference. Its true spiral binding, unlike a comb binding, allows this book to remain unharmed when left open at the desired place. The front and back covers are printed on heavy cover stock, protected by sturdy clear vinyl outer covers.
