Sought after primarily for the 75 tissue-guarded color illustrations by Trevor Haddon - absolutely stunning work. \"The present volume, mainly the embodiment of personal impressions and observations, is intended partly to supply the place of a guide-book of this part of the Penninsula, and with that object I have brought togeher as much history, art, and topography as the traveller is likely to assimilate.\" The cover is also a work of art.

Original decorative plum cloth with ornate arabesque designs in orange and yellow with gilt title to front board and spine. Top pages edges are gilt. 210 pages with 75 color plates with captioned tissue guards and one fold-out map at the rear (map in excellent condition). Dimensions: 6.90 inches wide x 9 inches tall. A very rare and scarce title with beautiful scenic plates!
