1909 Elgin 21j Ships Marine Chronometer Wind Indicator Deck Watch Clock In Boxes For Sale

I AM LISTING MANY INTERESTING AND UNIQUE ANTIQUES THIS WEEK SO PLEASE CHECK MY OTHER sales!!!! This listing is for an original Elgin 21 jewel "Father Time" ships chronometer. It is working beautifully. It is serial number # 14813627. A look-up of this number online tells that this was made in 1909. It is gimbled and comes in its original mahogany box with key and also that fits in another box. On the outer box is a hand engraved plaque telling that this was given as a prize in the race to Honolulu. There is also a book included with this about the yacht that won this as its prize in the race. I have taken several photographs of the innards so please scroll down and look at all of my pics.
