France, c 1910 " PRODUCTEURS DE NITRATE DE SOUDE DU CHILI ", original Bronze medal 36mm 20g approx, stock photo medal in similar condition, in very good condition as scanned, edge marked with triangle (Private mint) + "BRONZE".
Obv. allegorical figure of a woman lightly dressed, seeding, her left foot on a wheel, in the background ploughman and a village.
Rev. horn of plenty symbolizes prosperity.
In legend : Delegation Francaise des producteurs de nitrate de Soude du Chili.
ABOUT THE ARTIST Paul MOREAU-VAUTHIER (1871-1936), French sculptor statuary and medallist, Member of société des Artistes Français from 1895. Médaille d’argent at the 1900 exhibition and médaille d’or in 1928. Chevalier de la Légion d’honneur in 1910. Author of the famous Wall at the Pére-Lachaise cemetary.
