Very rare and very beautiful, ca1910’s Native American Blackfeet Indian Bead Decorated Belt. This outstanding early 20th century Beaded Belt measures 38” long (not including the 2” hide tab) and 2” wide.

This wonderful Blackfeet Indian Belt features wonderful, spot stitched beadwork in multiple colors and features stepped pyramid, linear, geometric and floral designs. The beadwork is executed on a thick canvas like substrate with a cloth backing, It retains an applied, brain tanned hide tab at one end..

The Beaded Belt offered here is unconditionally guaranteed original and of the period. It is NOT a reproduction or modern recreation but an original Blackfeet Belt crafted in the early 20th century. This very rare and very beautiful, ca1910’s Blackfeet Indian Beaded Belt is beautiful and in very good condition - supple and sound with no wear or damage to the Belt itself - the beading is well preserved but there are a few unobtrusive, tiny spots of bead loss. As stated above the Belt retains its original hide tab on one end but lacks what were likely rawhide ties at the other end. All elements of the Belt are original and there has been no repairs or restorations - the Belt is 100% original and 100% beautiful.
