Titled ‘Reports and Other Paper relating to the McPHERSON-DAWSON POLICE
PATROL – WINTER 1910-11 – AND THE DEATH OF INSPECTOR FRANCIS J. FITZGERALD AND
ALL MEMBERS OF THE PATROL.’ Reprinted 1919 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. An
account of the ‘Lost Patrol’ an expedition led by Inspector Francis J.
Fitzgerald, that also included Constables G.F. Kinney and R.O.H. Taylor and
Special Constable Sam Carter, acting as guide. Setting out from Fort McPherson
on December 21, 1910, for Dawson City, a trek of nearly 800 kilometers (500
miles). They were forced to turn back, unable to find their way through the
mountains, for Fort McPherson in a desperate race against cold and starvation.
Their bodies were all found within 50 km of Fort MacPherson.In good condition overall, with minor chipping at edges and handling
