Hand-selected by Mint staff for a high quality appearance, with minimal evidence of wear caused by handling, storage, or environmental conditions, this Hand-Selected coin is awonderful example of Canadian numismatic history.
The reverse image centres on a shield bearing the Arms of the Dominion of Canada: Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick. The shield is encircled by graceful maple boughs. The inscription "CANADA" is engraved above the shield, and the date of 1913and the face value is engraved below the shield. The obverse features the effigy of King George V, Canada's Sovereign at the time. Both sides of the coin are framed with a raised beaded circle.
