New York: Barse & Hopkins. 1915. First edition. 60 pp. Color frontispiece and black-and-white illustrations throughout, by V. Floyd Campbell. One in a popular series of children\'s books from the early 20th century, following two anthropomorphized bears (Teddy B and Teddy G). The stories originally appeared just three years after the coining of the term \'teddy bear\' in 1902, based on one of Theodore Roosevelt\'s hunting trips during which he refused to shoot a bear. Eaton\'s stories, originally entitled \'The Roosevelt Bears\', were first serialized in newspapers beginning in 1905, with the first book appearance occurring the following year.
