1920 "royal Black Institution" Photo Brantford Canada Plaque For Duke Of York :
I have currently listed several antique images of historical nature, so please
This is an intersting photo of one of the "Black Institution" (sometimes called Black Irish) regional organizations, the Black Institution having been formed much earlier in England's and Ireland'shistory...and this a branch in Brantford, Canada. Above the door on the building is the statement "Grand Black Chapter - Ireland." This is a curious example as it bears a silver plated small plaque at the bottom, mounted to the frame, which states "Presented by Duke of York, R.B.P. 148, Hamilton. (Te R.B.P. stands for another name, The Royal Black Preceptory.) While I am not certain but it appears that the then current Duke of York visited this area and presented the plaque to someone or several. It is in a very nice original Mission Style oak frame that measures about 17 1/4" x 15 1/2", and will be shipped in frame with glass and plenty of protection. The photo is quite clear and without any flaws. The image measures about 8" x 10" and is mounted on its original backing board. Shipping this piece to any US destination will be $12.00. Be sure to add me to your favorites list!

NOTE: For any shipments outside the US that prove to be more than the actual billed charge, I will refund any amount that was overpaid. But if the postal charge is higher than the amount billed I will send an additional bill for the extra charge and give positive response when that is paid.
