1920's Transfer Stamp Rogers Hornsby Sgc 10/1 (poor) New York Giants Hof:
From the rare 1920's Transfer Stamp set, this is Rogers Hornsby. The card isfully graded and authenticated by SGC as Poor (10/1). Note the creasing in the stamp. amd the ripped corner on top left. Please examine the scans closely. Note that I believe this set is from 1927-28, as there is also a number of boxing stamps included in this set. (See my listing for Jack Dempsey for the boxing stamps from this set.) These boxing stamps depict the "Long Count" fight between Jack Dempsey and Gene Tunney in Sept 1927, which Tunney won in controversy. Since the fight occurred in 1927, this set could not have been issued before then.
