1920's/30's Cape Porpoise Restaurant Pier 77 Mobil Gas:
Up forsale isa 4 x 6" photo that has been produced frommy original old negatives of Meade View Company postcards, a company that sold real photo postcards of numerous Maine towns and views in the 1920's, 1930's, and early 1940's. What you see is exactly what the postcard looked like, only better, sincewe cleaned up the negative, sharpened the image, and printed it from a .tif file, with glossy format onquality photo paper. The back of the photo is blank.
This view is ofthe Porpoise Restaurant at the pier in Cape Porpoise, Maine. The restaurant, expanded and updated,is now called Pier 77, but the main building isthe same. Wonderful detail ofthe sign on the frontof the buildingshowing a woodencarved porpoise above the main entrance, and the Mobil gas pumps in the background on the left.Excellent condition, very sharp and clear, great 1920's/30's scene, perfect for framing!
