1921 Freed Eisemann Marvel Crystal Radio * Near Mint; 100% Original * Brooklyn For SaleMake sure to check out all of my sales after you've looked at this one. I've got some great items listed this week, and there should be something of interest to just about everyone. Here's a 1921 Marvel Crystal Radio built and sold by the Freed Eisemann Radio Corp. of Brooklyn, NY. This was Freed Eisemann's first radio, and it's one of the cleanest examples I've ever seen. Condition throughout is almost like new. The hardware on the panel is close to mint, and the brushed bakelite panel itself is beautiful, as you can see in the photos. The detector assembly is original, the catwhisker is original, and the detector arm is still working properly. There's no missing hardware, the binding post nuts are all correct, and the oak cabinet has no damaged or splintered areas -- it doesn't even have any dings. The tuning coil is wedged pretty snugly into the interior of the cabinet, and I'm reluctant to remove it out of fear that I'll disturb the windings, but when I lift the panel slightly from the cabinet, I can see that the coil is original and the windings appear to be pristine. The radio measures 5" wide by 5" deep x 5" high. It comes with a pair of working Brandes headphones. Shipping weight, properly packed, will be about 5 lb.That's about it. Iwill package the set carefully and properly, and Ican assure you thatit willshow upat your doorstepin the samefine condition in which it leaves mine. I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my response, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly. Overseas customers may remit payment with Paypal only.
