Typed text on the reverse indicates that he was known as the \"Wild Man\" of Loaf River bottoms, Mississippi who claimed to have caught his wife in a bear trap 23 years before the photograph was taken. Text describes their deplorable living conditions. Approximate photo size is 7-1/8\" x 5-1/4\". Condition: image imperfection in negative. light soiling, scuffs, and edge wear.
