1922 Atwater Kent 4030 1-stage Radio Amplifier * Near Mint In Orig. Box * Scarce For Sale
Here's a very scarce 1922 Atwater Kent 2040 single-stage radio amplifier in its original box. This TA unit was never featured on a factory-built AK breadboard. It was sold only as a stand-alone part. As you can see in the photographs, the amplifier is in near mint, unused condition, with its original factory jumper wire still in place. The factory green paint is still in excellent condition, with virtually no wear, not even on the underside of the base. Original black potting material and AF transformer under the top are original and undisturbed. All of the brass parts are beautiful, with a nice patina but no rust or corrosion. The bakelite top is like new, with no cracks, no chips, no hairlines, no other damage. Beautiful, mirror-like gloss. Comes with a brass base tipped Cunningham C-301 rainbow amplifier tube for display (open filament). The box is complete and still in good condition, with a split on the seam but no structural damage. Not much more to say. If you want it, you should probably offer on it. You'll probably never see another one, much less one in the original box. That's about it. Iwill package the set carefully and properly, and Ican assure you thatit willshow upat your doorstepin the samefine condition in which it leaves mine. I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my response, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly. Overseas customers may remit payment with Paypal only. sale participants with no response history should contact me before placing a offer. Thanks.
