Up for sale is a rare1927 1st Edition/1st Printing copy of \"THE JINX SHIP\" by Howard Pease. The second book in the Tod Moran series.

A murder mystery set on a ship in the early 1900s when coal was still used as the fuel source. Tod takes a berth on theCongowhich is considered a bad luck vessel for all its misfortune in previous voyages. The ship sails for the Caribbean where Tod encounters murder, voodoo, government agents, and hurricanes as he must solve the mystery of the Jinx Ship.This book is in very good condition. Rubbing/chipping wear to the jacket along the edges, corners and at the top/bottom of the spine panel with the largest areas of jacket loss to the corners and at the top/bottom of spine panel. Some rubbing/creasing/soiling wear to the jacket on the front/rear jacket panels. Boards are straight and clean with a couple of bumped corners. Shelf wear along the edges of the boards with a small indent on the fore edge of the rear board. The spine and pages are very tight. There are no marks, tears, bookplates or writing in this book.
