1930s Gibson Kalamazoo Flat Top Acoustic Guitar Kg-14 ? You Decide No Reserve For SaleDESCRIPTION
How cool is this ! In my opinion is what I believe is a 1930s or 40s Gibson made Kalamazoo guitar ! This is a curiosity as most models I've seen are 14 frets to the body whereas this guitar is 12. It looks like a KG-14 but with 12 frets. It's up to anyone considering offerding to determine the exact age and model. There are 3 cracks on the top. One straight up the center through the bridge. Another just to the right at the edge of the pickguard and the last on the opposite end of the pickguard. No cracks on the side, back or neck ! Besides the stable cracks on the top. The guitar appears structurally sound. Has typical pick rash and some scratches on the top and back from age. Neck is straight with no fret wear. The action is a bit high. 3/16" at the 12th fret. There's a serial number on the inner block (see closeup pic). Here's more dimensions for those who may inquire. The guitar is 38-1/2" overall length. Nut to saddle is 24-3/4". Nut width is 1-15/16". Body length is 19-1/4". Lower bout is 14-5/8". Upper bout is 10-1/4". Body depth is 3-1/2" to 4-3/8". That just about covers everything. It includes what I believe is the original chipboard case with purple interior. The exterior is a textured dark brown color. I'm starting the offerding quite low and offer with . Someone may get a great deal ! Thanks for looking and good luck !
