1930s Gibson L-00 Vintage Acoustic Small Body Blues Or Fingerstyle Guitar:
1930s Gibson L-00
Ok - this guitar's in much better shape than the other L-00 that came from the same estate, but she definitely needs work to be playable. I believe that a bridge replacement and neck reset would do it, though you would likely want a replacement pickguard and the guitar may need some fretwork.
I don't know the history of this guitar, but like the other I have listed, it's been stripped and refinished. This one has what appears to be a very light oil-based finish or varnish...almost looks unfinished on the top. The black paint and white Gibson logo were removed when the headstock was refinished. The guitar was probably originally a sunburst, but it's impossible to say now. There's a visible outline of the original Gibson pickguard.
I see one crack extending from the fingerboard to the soundhole and there are several significant scratches and scrapes on the top, one of which may be a crack. The FON is not visible on the neckblock other than a red 2. Original bridge is badly split and will likely need to be replaced, though the right repairperson might be able to save it. Bridge pins are there but the endpin is not. There are some scuff marks around the edges of the top.
The guitar will be shipped in a brand new Access Stage One hardshell case.
I've done the best I can to describe all of the issues with this guitar and have included several large pictures. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. Have no idea what this one's worth, so I'll start with and let the market decide! Check my response and the return policy, then offer with confidence.
