This week I have a large collection of military items, 19th century to WW2. There are many different items including badges, Flags, hats and helmets, photos, ephemera, medals, trench art, field gear, personal gear and more. They have been collected from various clearances over the last few months.

DELIVERIES TO ITALY -Important notice to Italian buyers. Due to numerous parcels that repeated go "missing" as soon as they reach the Italian postal system, all deliveries to Italy with a value over £25.00 will now require compulsory insured signed for delivery. Please add £5.15 to the advertised postage cost.
My prefered method of payment from UK buyers is paypal but I do accept direct bank transfer, cheques or postal orders. For overseas buyers I accept paypal, euros, dollars, bank transfer or a check drawn in GBP sterling. I require payment within a week unless I have agreed otherwise. Please wait for me to send you an invoice so the required insurance can be added. If payment is made before I have added the insurance then I will have to refund your payment and request payment again. For details of insurance costs please read below. I post all my items by Royal Mail (unless over 2kg in weight) and proof of posting is obtained. If the item goes above £46.00 in value then insurance will need to be added. Please note that shipping to Scottish Highlands and Islands off the coast of UK incur additional postage. This is both with Royal Mail and courier services and UK postage rates are not applicable.
IMPORTANT POSTAL INSURANCE INFORMATION - PLEASE READ...
UK BUYERS - Purchases with a value of between £46.00 - £50.00 require a recorded signed for delivery at a cost of 95p + standard postage cost. Purchases above £50.00 will require special delivery at a cost of £6.95 (up to 500g) or £8.65 ( 500g - 1000g) or £10.95 (1001g - 2000g). This includes postage and packing.
NON UK BUYERS - To comply with paypals buyer protection policy any high value purchase requires a signature on delivery. Value between £46.00 and £55.00 will cost £5.15 + standard advertised postage. Purchases over £55.00 will require higher insurance at a cost of £7.75 + standard advertised postage.
Items with a weight over 2kg will be sent via courier. A telephone number will be required. No delivery to PO Boxes will be accepted. The buyer is responsible for any import duties or taxes payable on the goods they purchase.
IMPORTANT If Royal Mail, local postal services or courier companies attempt to contact or deliver the parcel and are unsuccessful, the parcel in most cases is returned to the seller after a period of time. In these cases the buyer is responsible for any return or subsequent delivery costs.
High value items will have been insured and sent with tracking. If required please request the tracking number as it is the buyers responsibility to track their parcel.
I AM SORRY TO SAY THESE CHARGES ARE NOT OPTIONAL AND ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH PAYPALS "NEED A SIGNATURE" BUYER PROTECTION POLICY WHERE A PROOF OF POSTING CERTIFICATE IS NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE. Please don't be put off by these terms. In 12,000+ deliveries we have only lost a handful of parcels and all buyers got their money back. Hopefully my response speaks for itself, but I run a business and these terms are necessary.
A) I pride myself in keeping my postage and packing costs as close to cost as I can and will where possible will combine postage costs for multiple purchases. I will not enter in to negotiations over postage costs. Each item is weighed and accurate postage displayed in the listing.
B) If you pay by paypal then you are covered by their "Buyer Protection" and in line with this I have to provide documented insured cover for purchases over £46.00. I reserve the right to insure items in line with this policy. THIS COST WILL BE PASSED ON TO THE BUYER. Detailed costs are in the shipping section.
C) Compulsory insurance - I reserve the right to send the item insured if the sale price goes over £46.00 to comply with paypals buyer protection policy. This is non negotiable if you pay via paypal. If you wish your item to be sent uninsured you may pay via another method but all risks are accepted by the buyer and only the standard compensation of up to £46.00 can be claimed.
D) Lost or damaged items - In the unlikely event of an item received damaged or being lost please email me. I will then make a claim on your behalf against the post office. I can claim only after 25 working days after posting and it can take up to 3 weeks for them to reply to the claim so please be patient. When we are refunded then you will be. No claim can be made for damaged china or glass (post office rules). Successful claims for loss will only reflect the value of the item as the post office will not refund postal charges.
E) Overseas buyers are wholly responsible for any customs duty or local charges that may occur within their own country.

NON PAYING buyers After 7 days I will send a reminder invoice followed by a "non-paying buyer alert" and a non payer strike against the buyer.
REFUNDS I do not claim to be an expert on any subject. I try to describe all my items as accurately as possible. They are however SOLD AS SEEN. Please ask questions if you are unsure of anything BEFORE offerding.
RETURNS I sell vintage items. Some might possibly have what I consider "wear" consumate with age - slight surface blemishes, tarnishing, very small natural cracks in wood, very slight colour variations. These may not be listed in the description. Anything I feel is damage or a major detraction will be in the listing. If you have any questions please ask them before you offer. After the sale is too late.
