Offered here is a circa ­­­1930s Catalog Plate Navaho weaving that measures 6 feet 8 inches long by 3 foot wide or 80” x 36”. It is attributed to the Crystal Post weaving area and is in excellent condition. It was handwoven by an expert weaver on a primitive upright loom of all Native handshorn, handcarded and nicely handspun Merino quality and a little Churro sheep wool, both weft & warp. Here is a very nice old J. B. Moore Catalog Storm Pattern rug / runner. This piece varies a little from the actual plate but all in all is a great Catalog Storm. We have not seen many Storm pattern runners so here is a good piece for your consideration at … and Pepito likes it too!

We obtained this vintage Native American textile on consignment out of a Montana collection just to offer you here on . It has a fine weft count averaging 30 per inch and a warp count of 7 per inch. The selvage cords are in complete and original excellent condition while noting the loose cord on one side where there is an original splice in the cords…no break here. Warp selvages are 2-spiral cords and weft selvages are 2-spiral cords. The corners are all four in original excellent condition. The tassels are all four original and in excellent condition. It is pretty clean now & comes from a non-smoking home.

Both sides are even in pattern color and shown in photos above. (copy of color JB Moore Plate shown for example only.) Colors are excellent in this piece of old American Indian art and they are: hand carded & hand blended natural speckled brownish grey, black & ivory white along with hand dyed aniline cardinal red. Complete with lazy lines, this example of ­­­­collectible Native Americana is ready to display in your own hacienda or just tuck away in your private rug & blanket collection.
