1930s Jazzbo Jim Dancer on the Roof & Violin Man! Unique Art Tin Toy Wind Up 1930s Jazzbo Jim Dancer on the Roof & Violin Man! Unique Art Tin Toy Wind Up. Fine working tin wind up toy Jazzbo Jim the Dancer on the Roof by Unique Art toys c.1920. Tap dancing man works great and the violinist fiddles perfectly. Nice action and fine working toy. Many racial stereotypes around the building with watermelons etc. From a historical period of time when racist toys were a common part of the culture. There were many versions of the popular Jigger toys by many manufacturers including Lehmann, Strauss (please see the other Jigger toy available this week) Marx, Unique Art etc. The toy is ~9 1/2 inches tall and has minor wear associated with its wind up dancing action- it has an ancient string securely tied around it due to missing tabs on the roof, toy is sound.
