1930s Matchless Star Christmas Tree Light. Green With Red Points. Not Working For Sale
Matchless Star Christmas Light. C-6. Does not work.
These were made in the 1930s, and in Chicago, Illinois. The plastic holder and the light bulb itself were manufactured in Chicago. The glass center and crystal glass points were imported from Czechoslovakia. Then the light was individually wired and assembled in Chicago. And then marketed in the United States. These were our invention.. our creation... and our really great contribution to Christmas lighting.
When lit, they absolutely sparkle. Like jewels on the tree. Only a figural star which just shines so brightly.
THE SAD NEWS IS THAT THIS LIGHT DOES NOT WORK.
The glass center isgreen with redcut crystal points.
1.75" in diameter, and in very good condition as you can see..
You bet these are perfectly safe to use. The are a C-6 size, and need the old cords. If you are in need of such cords to use these C-6 bulbs being listed, please contact me. I can help you with that. Just use a dimmer switch so they burn softer---they will not burn hot and be dangerous—plus the lower wattage will insure that the bulbs last for years and years and years. Plus always use the same wattage on the string. These go on any C-6 string sets into those sockets.
There is nothing wrong with this Chrstmas light OTHER THAN IT DOES NOT WORK AS STATED ABOVE. I start all my sales at .99 cents as it is an sale and I just never cared when I went to live sale and the saleeer started very high, and then spent time backing down to get a offer.
I am more than happy to combine postage to save money on multiple items.
Just let me know you are multiple offerding, and I will invoice you when you are finished offerding and wish for me to send the items. Then, I will combine postage and send to you, and send final invoice. If any questions about this, please email me.
