1930s Recording King Kay Kaykraft Archtop Tenor Guitar With Gold Decal:
Up for offerding is a tenor guitar made by the Stromberg-Voisinet company which was the precurser to the Kay company. These guitars were sold under various names like Recording King, Kaykraft, and Kay. This particular guitar has lost its peghead decal. The beautiful gold decal around the lower body is all intact. The guitar is in very good condition with a few new parts. The bridge, tuners and pickguard are newer and a couple inches of neck binding. The guitar has a unique adjustable neck. You can loosen the strings and loosen the large wingnut on the neck block inside and adjust the action to your liking. The neck has just a bit of relief in it but the guitar is very playable. There are no cracks or repairs on the body.
