1930s Rockola Official Sweepstakes Horse Race Trade Stimulator Penny Arcade Slot:
This is a 1930s Rock-Ola Official Sweepstakes horse race trade stimulator. It is the 5 cent version and itworks fine.. Since i am not an expert everything sames there. The only thing that looks like it is missing is the tilt peg. The condition looks to in very good shape and in working order.
I bought this at the chicago coin-op show in 2001.
Rotating horses allow the patron to bet on the winning horse.
NICE MACHINE! A Rock-Ola OFFICIAL SWEEPSTAKES, made between 1933 and 1935. It's cleverest feature is the "moving ball of magic", or simply the "magic ball". While the horses spin around the ball rolls around, changing the odds as the race progresses. A winner pays 2-for-1 up to 30-for-1, depending where the ball stops when the winner stops. Two exciting play features are going on at once; Rockola called it "double-barrelled action. Here's something interesting, The Rockola Official cost just $19.50 in it's plain model and $21.50 with the gum ball window and dispenser. This is a non-payout counter game. I am not sure as to it's current value, but I believe it's around $1,500.00 and $2,500.00 in fine condition. Neat game,On Feb-18-13 at 03:29:20 PST, seller added the following information:
