1930s Wolverine Supply & Mfg Co No 48 Zilotone Pressed Steel Wind Up Tin Toy Usa For Sale
Up for sale is a vintage 1930s Wolverine Suplly & Mfg. Co. No. 48 Zilotone pressed steel wind up tin toy in good condition for the age. The wind up mechanism does work however the up and down motion of the arms is not working correctly. I believe the metal piece that runs along the teeth on the underside of the music disk has worn metal and isn't functioning or engaging the arms properly, see photo #11. The arms do move up and down when the mechanisms are engaged manually. All the parts and pieces seem to be intact and complete. There is normal wear and age to the toy. The litho and colors are still very nice and displays well. There are no dents in any of the metal parts or pieces. I only have the one disk, #205 Yankee Doodle. The toy measures roughly 7" tall, 7 1/2" widest, and 9" long. A great old American toy to add to your collection.
