This sale is for an extremeley scarce 1930's antique fly fishing rod with the original tube and sock, marked on the tube label: GRANGER FAVORITE - NUMBER GF9043 - LENGTH 9 FEET - WEIGHT 4 3/4 OZS. - and with a CAUTION note for care of the rod and signed: GOODWIN GRANGER CO. - DENVER, COLO. - marked on the rod: GRANGER FAVORITE - and marked on the reel seat: PAT. PENDING - MADE BY GOODWIN GRANGER COMPANY - DENVER. This 3 piece fly fishing rod has the original extra tip for 4 pieces total. When assembled it is perfectly straight with either tip, it has no chips or cracks in the cork and the varnish is an estimated 99% complete. This rod is fully functional and in near mint, excellent condition and appears just barely used. It is all original with no damages or repairs and you will have a very hard time finding a better original GF9043 than this. The sock and tube are also in excellent condition showing just light storage wear with no damages. Total weight in the 37" tube is 1 lb. 3 ozs.
