1933 Chicago World's Fair Art Deco Compact Double Vanity - Great Graphics For Sale

Up for offer is a black enamel and chrome double compact vanity from the 1933 Chicago World's Fair with great art deco graphics on the front. The back of the compact also has a great art deco design and is enameled in black. I think this is the first one I've ever seen of these that didn't have just a plain silver tone back.

The compact measures about 2 inches by 1 and 3/4 inches and is in excellent condition. I'm not sure that it was ever used! The compact opens to a covered powder well that doesn't appear to have ever been filled. The two-sided metal mirror pulls down to reveal the rouge compartment with the original rouge, the unused puff, and the paper liner still covering the rouge.

There is one very small chip on the right center front and one poinpoint chip on the far right edge. Enlarge the pictures, and you should be able to see them. Otherwise, condition is excellent.
