This is an original press photo. J Brugnon and J Borotra of France defeated HGN Lee and GP Hughes of Great Britain in the doubles contest of the Davis Cup played at the Roland Garros Stadium Paris July 29th 6-3 8-6 and 6-2. The above photo shows Borotra going after one in mid air. His partner Brugnon is on the left. Great Britain captured the historic Davis Cup for the first time since 1912 on July 30th ending the six year International Tennis reign of the French Team with a 3-2 victory in the challenge round. Photo measures7 x 9 inches. Photo is dated 08-06-1933.
