In 1974 The Card Memorabilia Associates (TCMA) produced an outstanding commemorative set honoring the players of the powerful New York Yankee ballclubs of 1936 through 1939.Nearly a decade later, TCMA reissued the set.
Telling \'em apart...
The sets may be differentiated in two ways: (1) The earlier (1974) set features backs with black ink on white card stock while (2) the 1983 cards have blue ink on brownish card stock.
Included in this offer are all 51 of the regular player cards, each of which measures 2-3/4\" by 4\" from the 1983 set. Cards of this size fit comfortably in 4-pocket collector sheets designed for standard postcards. Also included are the five (5) larger 4\" by 5-1/2\" multi-playercards. This is a complete 56-card set!
Pictured are a few of the 51 \"regular\" cards as well as one of the larger format cards. The 56 cards you will receive are checklisted below.
