Please read the two paragraphs below that describe our policies and philosophy on what we sell.ALL THE ITEMS WE SELL are mid-century items. So these objects have seen decades of use. The range is 20 to 80 years. Please expect a baseline of wear. I try to be as accurate in my descriptions as humanly possible and take many photos that I consider to be a major part of the description. I do not take returns. Therefore, if the description and the photos do not answer all your questions about condition, you should email me with any questions BEFORE offerding. If I say it is mint or excellent condition, it is relative to the age of the piece. So please do not expect a brand new item to land at your doorstep, it is vintage. I mention all flaws, dings, restoration. For ceramics, natural imperfection in firing like a slight glaze miss or a small glaze pop are part of the beauty of a hand made piece and therefore is only mentioned if it is so large that it aesthetically effects both the beauty and/or value of the piece for it to be mentioned in the description. Otherwise please look closely at all photos because they can be more informative than the actual description. Again, if you do not understand the nature of basic wear to furniture, ceramics, glass, wooden, metal design objects,1970’s ABS plastic pieces, either ask the right questions before offerding or contemplate all factors when placing a offer. If you are buying something to match the color of your couch and not for the aesthetic and unique qualities of the object itself, please think about what online sales imply in terms of color, texture and quality of photography depicting the item. With that said, we are here to answer any questions as objectively is humanly possible. We like knowledgeable buyers who understanding what an online sale means and are here to help you with that decision..We state 10 business day handling time just for safety sake.Your purchase usually goes out in a few days. We charge actual shipping plus a handling fee which is included in the price you see. We are not trying to make money on our shipping. By offerding on our item you are agreeing to pay the shipping cost on your invoice and not the fee assessed by the wildly inaccurate shipping calculator. I have found them to be both outrageously high as well as dramatically low,

Here is a list of definitions to our terminology on condition. This is to hopefully help you in defining your knowledge of our specific item’s condition report since words like “excellent” can be subjective and mean something a little bit different to each person. Please read below

MINT:The piece looks like it came out of a showroom floor. Original finish, with original luster and no wear or tear. Will not have nicks, gouges, or scratches.

EXCELLENT:Almost pristine. At most, minor blemishes or bruises, or few fine scratches. We will always state if We believe the piece has been refinished, repaired or need’s reupholstering or if any repair should be considered. For Pottery/ceramics, we will state any chips, gaze flakes or restoration that I know for fact or can visibly see. Glaze pops, or glaze misses, etc. are part of “in the natural process of making and are not considered as damage.

VERY GOOD:Showing some signs of age. Superficial surface scratches and blemishes are more visible than if in excellent condition. Finish may have minor wear and tear, but the piece is otherwise acceptable. Cleaning or polishing will improve appearance.

GOOD:Definite signs of age and use. Visible scratches and stains but piece will be usable without being refinished. May need minor repairs.

FAIR:Signs of age, use and in need of restoration. Possibly some veneer on wood pieces are missing and in need of refinishing. However, if brought to a professional restorer can be brought back to excellent condition.

POOR:A true reclamation project. Needs major overhaul and probably parts of piece are missing and would have to be fabricated, Can be made whole again, butwill take both time and money to do so. I only sale this type of piece when it is a rare, an unusual piece of great value, or of great aesthetic appeal. In other words, worth the effort.

P O T T E R Y & G L A S S D E S C R I P T I O N S

All of our pieces are original vintage and in excellent to mint condition. Occasionally we will buy a piece that is less than perfect. I will always specify the issues with all ceramic and glass in my description. Any known or visible repairs will be noted.

E L E C T R I C A L I T E M S

Anything that plugs in or runs on batteries are sold as design objects and for their aesthetic value only and while the working condition will be noted in the items description, there is no warranty or guarantee on these items due to the fact that they are just that…vintage. Again, all sales are final, so please ask questions before offerding.

Items are sold as is. We prefer sending items via UPS or Fed Ex ground because they have a better tracking system than USPS. We will always choose the safest and least expensive method for our objects. Damage during shipping will process through shipping claims. We do not refund shipping either way. If an item is damaged, you must keep all the materials used in packing or the postal company will not honor the claim. The filing for lost or damaged goods needs to be done on your end. Not our rule, it is the post offices and UPS’s rules. However we will be happy to advise if such an incident occurs. We pack very well and literally out of thousands of items shipped through sales and to private clients, only one item arrived damaged and the claim was honored and UPS gave a refund. The tracking number is included in our handling charge. Thank you and enjoy your offerding!

Please look at the postage cost & decide if you are willing to pay that much before you offer. That is the total amount you will pay. Please read our specifics in the actual listing. The shipping calculators are often an inaccurate estimate of shipping cost and could be less. Please wait for our invoice before paying If we find that you have overpaid after actual shipping, we notify you & credit your Paypal account with the over charge. We are not interested in profiting from shipping._gsrx_vers_522 (GS 6.6.2 (522))
