1940s Easter Decoration Place Card Elf Pixie Doll Flower Vtg Crepe Paper For Sale
(Some of you may have seen my recent listings for another similar elf, and some other crepe paper items I sold. The description may sound familiar but I have adjusted it for this specific elf in the picture you see here. This is the LAST elf that I have, and the last of my other crepe paper items are listed I don't know much about this sweet vintage crepe paper item, but I am guessing that it might be from the 1940's, and it could be a Dennison item. I think the face is spun cotton, and this appears to be some sort of decoration or place card- maybe Easter/May Day? It measures about 2 " to the top of his head, and it's about 3" to the top of the flower- which is on a wire and can be moved. It has some minor wear, but is in great shape for a paper item this old and it has nice detail and personality. I think the pix show it well; the flower petals are a little scraggly but I didn't try moving them around. The elf is currently mounted on a piece of paper which is bent and has a torn edge. Obviously the elf could be taken off of the paper and mounted on something else. There are a few little brown spot areas- a couple on the paper, a few on the lower front/under thigh, and a light one on the upper back. Selling as is.
