This is an original press photo. Mrs Osa Johnson, widow of Martin Johnson, the explorer, who was married to Clark H Getts, her business manager, yesterday. The ceremony was performed at the New York City Hall by Mayor Fiorella LaGuardia. Mrs Martin Johnson stalked lions and tigers in African jungles with a movie camera. On the marriage certificate she signed her maiden name, Osa Helen Leighty, gave her age as 46 and her occupation a a motion picture producer. Her husband is 47. Her first husband, Martin Johnson, the explorer and lecturer, was killed in an airplane crash near Hollywood in 1937. Mrs Getts was seriously injured in the same accident. Photo measures 4.75 x 8inches. Photo is dated 02-4-1941.
