Original vintage \"Chicago Daily Tribune\" for Saturday, January 23, 1943. Back page large color comic strip \"Deathless Deer\" by Alicia Patterson Guggenheim (writer) and Neysa McMein (artist).  This strip only last several months, less than a year. It is considered one of the most notorious flops in the history of comics. The strip covers 2/3 of the back page. Also a color political cartoon on the front page by Joseph Parrish, \"The Enthusiasm For Royalty May Not Be Shared By Comrade Joe\" (Joseph Stalin). Movie ads, war news, sports, a few more black and white comics, national & world, much more! You couldn\'t ask for much better condition from a 72 year old newspaper.  The paper is flat and solid, not brittle- still relatively crisp. Original horizontal fold. Shallow corner bends, and a couple of blackish printing defect lines up the length of the color comic. Small closed edge tear. Other than minor normal age yellowing/minor browing, it is in VG+ or better condition.   Complete, two sections, 23.5\" x 18\"
